2006 Bodega Noemia de Patagonia Malbec J. Alberto - this 100% malbec wine is still very dark in colour and has a nose of dark fruit (blackberry?) and cocoa and vanilla bean. The 14.3% alcohol doesn't come across as very hot and it has a long drawn out finish. I tried a bottle of this long ago when I purchased it and saw it as dark, broody and tannic, so forgot about it for quite a few years until I came across it while searching for something else in the cellar. It is now at a very nice place and drinks well.
