Tried these three whites w/ Susan this weekend:
1. Antonelli Anteprima Tonda Dd'OC: Trebbiano Spotetino (13.5%; Vintage Imports/Denver) Antonelli; SanMarco/Montefalco 2018: Med.dark gold color; strong honeyed/orangey some herbal/honeyed slight nutty quite complex slight maderized some haymow slight phenolicvery interesting/exotic nose; lightly tart slight metallic quite honeyed/orangey bit graham cracker/nutty slight maderized/honeyed/orangey bit honeyed graham cracker totally dry fairley honeyed very complex flavor; very long/lingering quite honeyed/orangey/honey grahams quite complex finish; has all the character of a fully mature skin-contact white; a very exotic expression of Trebbiano; a very complex very exotic/interesting white wine. $27.00 (KK)

2. Lindquist 50% Viognier/Chard CentralCoast (13.5%) Lindquist Family Wines/SantaMaria 2021: Light gold color; quite fragrant pear/Viog bit honeyed/honeydew melon quite attractive nose; lightly tart strong honeyed/pear/Viog/melony rather rich/lush/textured light pencilly/buttery/Fr.oak lovely flavor; very long/lingering lush melony/pear finish; quite an attractive balanced white blend; the Chard gives it a richness & texture and moves it away from DollyParton territory. $26.00 (KK)

3. Bezel Chard SLO Coast (13.5%; BezelWines.com) Cakebread Family/BezelWines/PasoRobles 2023: Light yellow color; pleasant light melony/Chard/appley/almondy light pencilly/oak rather simple Chard nose; bit soft melony/Chard/almondy simple fruity light toasty/oak flavor; med.short melony/Chard finish; a pleasant enough simple commodity-level Chard but rather boring in character; speaks clearly of Chard but rather on the dull side; expected more from Cakebread. $21.00 (SFW&S)

More gibbleschitz from the BloodyPulpit:
1. The Antonelli was the most exotic/beautiful Trebbiano that I ever recall having. It is clearly a skin-contact white but shows much more maturity than I'd expect for a 2018. A truly exotic/wonderful expression of Trebbiano, a normally pretty dull grape.
