I heard a rumor that this is a big one! :) Enjoy the day, sing and dance, and let us know what you opened to celebrate.

Thank you!

I am actually just following up on wines from Friday night ('22 Rouge Gorge, '20 Huet Demi).

Dale: I am a 1960 baby, so I think yes.

David: It is too busy a day to be able to open a bottle and sit with it. I have one old barolo at home and sometime soon I'll make the effort. Those two bottles will provide follow-up notes to a dinner last Friday, and I get to see how they go with various foods other than restaurant Szechuan.

It's a life-long ambiguity for me. Birthday day is mostly just like any other, from a mechanical perspective. For me to say that "I have had a day" I like to set aside everything, most especially clocks, so that the day flows in and around me as naturally as I want it to. It's hard to do this when there's a router to swap, and a quiche to bake, and Jim's iCloud not behaving, and hearing that one of Jim's aunts has passed, etc.
