Movia Sauvignon Brda/Slovenia (13%; www.Movia.Si; EthicaWines/Stamford/CT) Ales Kristanaic/Dobrovo/Slovenia 2022: Light gold color; beautiful ripe/melony/SB/floral/gardenias slight mineral rather complex nose; lightly tart fairly rich/lush ripe/melony/SB/floral/gardenias fairly complex quite perfumed flavor; very long/lingering ripe/melony/SB finish that follows flavor; a beautiful rich/ripe SB. $29.00 (KK)

Ch.Fonsalade Grande Cuvee Ad'OP: St.Chinian (14.5%; 80% Grenache/20% Syrah; GrapeExpectations/Richmond/CA) Famille Barbe/Causses et Vayran 2019: Med.dark color; strong fruity Grenache/strawberry bit earthy/dusty/OV rather CdR-like fairly fragrant pleasant nose; soft bit earthy/dusty/OV some loamy some strawberry/Gren very drinkable lush flavor w/ light tannins; med.long lightly tannic finish that tracks lavor; a pleasant CdR-level red w/ lots of Gren fruit at a great price. $13.00 (KK)

1. I am really liking the SB's from Friuli/Slovenia/Sudsteiermark. They show a lot of lush/melony character w/o the usual herbal/cat-pee character of many SB's. I always wonder if the Sauv Musque plays much of a role in these wines.
