- 2019 Pierre-Marie Chermette Fleurie Les Garants - France, Burgundy, Beaujolais, Fleurie (5/3/2025)
About 30 months since my prior bottle, and this is 100% in the zone. The fruit has mellowed, but it’s still clearly Gamay bright. Structure is nearly invisible, and there’s a mellow earthiness to the wine that provides a base for the fruit. It’s disarmingly easy to drink, and molds itself around highly flavorful food. Delicious now.

Bright, mellow, earthy and goes well with flavorful food. Sounds like you got it at the right time indeed.
