2007 Château de Beaucastel Côtes du Rhône Coudoulet - 2007 was ain interesting and for many a challenging vintage.as the weather favoured big ripe wines. I had the chance to taste many of them early on and found the lush intensity a tad monolithic, but many have come around with enough time (given high rated reviews of these wines, I expect many were consumed too soon). This is one of them - a big and still dark wine with a sort of spiced plum nose but it has mellowed and on palate it is no longer the over-ripe ooze monster it was when first tasted. If you have them, it is time to try them. (I still have an untapped case of 07 Vieux Donjon that I've been resisting, but based on this, I may well pop a cork on it soon).
