WTN: A little Dobbes will do ya

Last night with salmon coated in ginger and black pepper:

2006 Dobbes Family Estate Pinot Noir Quailhurst Vineyard Chehalem Mountains
Very nice for a 19 yr old pinot from a modest vintage, and it held up well in the glass. But better to drink remaining bottles sooner than later.

2018 Domaine Poulleau Père & Fils Pinot Noir Bourgogne
Enjoyed a balanced bottle in '21, but didn't like another in '24--"opaque", jammy and seemingly "extracted". Last night's bottle was an extension of the first of those two--classic Burgundy, not exceptional but everything in its place, immediately ready and no decline over two hours.

Thanks for notes. Dobbes is a new name to me, but seems pretty available- I should get for my Dobbs (Ferry) group!

Yes you should! It's a good producer, and the Quailhurst I had here is their top bottling.
