Cusumano Shamaris Grillo Monte Pietrose DOC: Sicilia (13%; www.Cusunano.It; TerlatoWines/LakeBluff/Il) Cusumano/Partinico 2023: Med.dark gold color; strong earthy/stony/rustic/mineral some saline some floral/carnations rather volcanic/terroir-driven bit coarse nose; bit soft rich/lush rather earthy/coars/stony/volcanic modest grapey/grapefruity/carnations flavor; med.short coarse/earthy finish that tracks flavor; a rather coarse/earthy/terroir-driven white that lacks aromatics & fruit; not nearly the perfume of a good Carricante. $21.50 (KK)

1. I was expecting a lot more from Randall's Grenache. Just too light & boring. Nothing like a Clos du Gilroy.
