Cracked this wine last night:

Kurtatsch Sonntaler Schiava Vernatsch Alte Reben DOC: Sudtirol/AltoAdige (12.5%; old vines; VineyardBrands/Birmingham/AL) Kellerei-Cantina Kurtatsch/Kurtatsch 2022: Rather light ruby color; rather earthy/loamy fairly dusty/OV strong floral/rose petal/slight strawberry complex aromatic bit Valtelline Nebb-like rather alpine/perfumed complex nose; rather tart/tangy fairly spicy/floral/PN-like/rose petal some earthy/loamy fairly dusty/OV rather alpine/floral bit rustic flavor w/ light tannins; rather long floral/alpine/rose petal finish that tracks flavor; a pretty classic Sudtirol/alpine/rose petal red; fairly lightweight but quite an interesting Alpine red. $33.00 (KK)

1. I'm quite taken by Alpine reds because of their perfume. This Schiava is one of the better ones. Mostly grown in the Wurttemberg region of Germany where it is known as Trollinger. I find the Italian versions of this grape far more interesting.
