Had these two wines last night:
1.
Koppitsch Perspcktive Weiss Weinland/Austria (11%; www.Koppitsch.Wine; natural wine; 50% Chard/Weissbrgunder; Neuberg Vnyd; 3/4 direct press & 1/4 skin contact for 8 days; 0.7% R.S.; Jennie&Francois Slctns) Alex & Maria Koppitsch/Neusiedl am See 2020: Med. golden/brown very hazy/cloudy color; some phenolic/skin-contact earthy haymow/new mown hay dusty bit herbal/floral/zinnias/pungent saline very strange nose w/ little aromatics; fairly tart sour some phenolic/skin-contact rather tangy/metallic/bitey/rather leesy some tannic bit floral/Chard bit funky/natty rather unattractive flavor w/ some tannic bite; med/long very tangy/metallic finish that follows flavor; a singularly unpleasant austere/metallic wine like no other Austrian wine I've had; very much lacking in fruit & lots of skin-contact character; with some air it starts to show a bit of floral character but not enough to save this abomination of Austrian wine. $23.00 (AV)

2.
Villa M Sweet Red Aromatized Wine Based Cocktail (5%; Gonzalez Byass/Chicago) Borgata Serra dei Turchi/LaMorra NV: Light color & quite fizzy that eventually disipates; very aromatic/soda poppy/strawberry/cherry soda pop quite perfumed very pretty nose; fairly sweet quite fizzy very strawberry/cherry grapey flavor w/ little tannins; long fizzy cherry finish that tracks flavor quite a frivolous/pretty wine mostly like cherry soda pop; serve fairly cold like soda pop; quite nice w/ characteristics like a lightweight Lambrusco; a silly/pretty soda-pop of a wine. $18.00 (KK)

More gigglfritz from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. The Koppitsch was one of the most unpleasant Austrian whites I can recall. From very old vines on the shores of Lake Neusiedl/Burgenland. Somewhat natty but just unpleasant. Avoid.
I was not expecting much from the Villa M. It fully delivered on that expectation. Not sure exactly how you would use this wine. Probably just sipping/smashing back at poolside. Maybe would work like a Lambrusco w/ charcuterie, but it's pretty sweet. But it was a wine I kinda liked as an alternative to soda pop.
