Opened this new wine (for me) for dindin last night:
1. Tenuta di Fessina Erse Carricante Dd'OC: Etna WW (12.5%; www.TenutaFessina.com; VineyardBrands/Birmingham/AL) Tenuta di Fessina/Benedetto Alessandro/Contrada Rovittello/Castiglione di Sicilia 2023: Med.gold color; strong quite fragrant floral/gardenias/melony/orangy/grapefruity light stony/mineral bit honeyed/Auslese-like white flowers/orange blossom complex quite lovely nose; fairly tart/tangy quite rich/lush very floral/gardenias honeyed/orangey light mineral/stony complex beautiful flavor; very long/lingering honeyed/gardenias finish that mimics flavor; not a lot of the coarse/mineral character of Sicily but amazing perfumed flavor; maybe the best Carricante I can recall; if KevinHarvey can reproduce this wine on CentennialMtn, then he has a winner for Carricante in Calif; a beautiful expression of Carricante more than Etna; almost R-like ot Viog-like in its perfume; very faily priced at $32.00 (KK)

More chickerfret from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. New producer that I've never had. So expectations were low. But I was blown away by this expression of Sicilian Carricante. And this is merely their entry level Bianco. I can hardly wait to try their other wines.
