TN: 2010 Le Vieux Pin Syrah Équinoxe

2010 Le Vieux Pin Syrah Équinoxe -many moons ago, we had a visit from a Canadian lawyer who had relocated to New York. It was a wine gathering at a local friend's house and we indulged in many fine wines. The New York Canadian was coming to town and we decided to get together over a bottle at my place. He wanted to try something interesting from BC, so I picked out what is perhaps the best syrah based wine made here (only downside is the over $100 price now). Peppery barnyard nose made it small like a Rhone clone, very good slightly sweet syrah dark fruit and a long smooth finish. The wine held constant over a couple of hours and showed no signs of changing due to oxidation.

One of your two vintages isn't correct. I presume 2010 is the right one? (I had it in my head that '09 was this winery's first, based on a bottle of the Retouche Coop opened sometime back.)

Btw, where are your notes on last week's lunch?
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov

Coming, probably by tomorrow - have too many balls in the air at the moment - some of which you are aware of!
