Lemon sole with tomato salad and basil in foil,
2022 Meurgey-Croses Saint Veran
OK something must have been off with previous bottle which I hated. Sweet red apple, lemon zest, fruit blossoms, decent chalky finish. Quite decent Maconnais. B

No wine Monday with pork, quinoa, roasted peppers, and broccolini

No wine Tuesday with grilled yellowfin, eggplant, salad, and more quinoa

Wednesday was supposed to be park concert, but a thunderstorm rolled in and so I stayed home with my salade nicoise.
2024 Turenne “Camille” Rose (Cotes de Provence)
Very light, strawberries and lime zest, at least it’s refreshing but thin and not a lot going on. I could have chosen a better more assertive Provencal rose to match, but you live and you learn. B-/C+

Grade disclaimer: I'm a very easy grader, basically A is an excellent wine, B a good wine, C drinkable. Anything below C means I wouldn't drink at a party where it was only choice. Furthermore, I offer no promises of objectivity, accuracy, and certainly not of consistency.
