More fricklegirt from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. Marco brought in to Kokomans a tableau of 6 different Tavel roses. This is the first one to try. Will try a few more over the next few weeks. Stay tuned.
Ojai has always made a (cheap) Ojai Red that was the leftovers of mostly their Syrah/PinotNoir barrels after those premier wines were bttld. It was always a real steal. They never identified a Lot # on the label, so you never knew for sure the age of what you were drinking if you cellared it. And cellaring was often beneficial. Eventually, Adam recognized this as a problem so the they realized this was a problem & finally began to etch the bttling date on to the btl for each release of an Ojai Red. But it was very/very light and you had to know to look for that etch. Barely readable, this bottling date was 3/01/17. So it was mostly '15 or '16 vintages.
