Tried this white last night:
1. Villars-sur-Var Clos St.Joseph Blanc de Blanc AP: Cotes de Provence (12.5%; KermitLynch/Berkely; MeBalP; 40% Rolle (Vermentino)/30% UgniBlanc/25% Semillon/5% Clairette) Clos St.Joseph/Villars-sur-Var/Provence 2022: Light gold color; fairly strong floral/Verm/carnations/ bit spicy/cardamon slight mineral very perfumed/attractive nose; bit soft fairly rich/lush strong Verm/floral/carnations ight mineral/stony rather bright/high-toned quite attractive flavor; very long lush/floral/Verm finish that tracks flavor; quite an attractive floral/Verm that doesn't show the usual earthy/stony/bit coarse character of most Provence Blancs; speaks strongly of Verm w/ lots of aromatics; a bit pricey for a Provence Blanc but not really overpriced for what it is. $49.00 (KK)

1. I felt a bit scammed by this wine. I saw the St.Joseph on the label & thought I was getting a Rhone St.Joseph, so the high price was about right. It wasn't until I cracked the btl that I realized it was not a Rhone but a Provence Var white wine. Nonetheless, I didn't think it was particularly overpriced (after all...it is a Kermit/Lynch wine) given its quality.
