2022 Frank Cornelissen Susucaru Rosso Terre Siciliane Nerello Mascalese
The unusual clear bottle shows off this wine's attractive transparent red color. Expressive raspberry, cherry, tomato and rhubarb notes mingle happily and are the perfect match for linguine tossed with fresh ripe summer tomatoes, garlic and basil. Pure joy.

I opened this for friends the night before:

2021 Grieve Family Winery Double Eagle Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc
This is a very classy Sauv Blanc. Concentrated casaba melon, pineapple guava, asparagus and a hay-like grassiness are rich but not fat, with ample body and a long, complex finish.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov

Glad you enjoyed the Su-su-su-Susucaru. Back in the day a bottle of that wine was a total crap shoot, and the odds were decidedly NOT in the player’s favor.

Yeah, a lot of those early Cornelissen wines had tons of VA in them. Their US importer seemed impervious to that flaw. Haven't had one in years, though.

Oblivious and incredibly defensive was more my take on the importer at the time!

It's not a flaw it's a feature

Yes, I had some of those early ones with outrageous VA. He seemed like a nice and interesting guy, glad he has gotten it together.

I had a bad one long ago too, but the local retailer I bought this from vouched for it.
