Wanted a dessert wine last night to go with my fresh Palisades peaches:
1. Royal Tokaji Late Hrvst Sweet WW (12%; www.Royal-Tokaji.com; Furmint grape; SaH: 31.6%; RS: 10.82%; Wilson-Daniels/St.Helena) Royal Tokaji/Mad/Hungary 2018: Med.gold color; intense grapey/Furmint/late hrvsty/quite honeyed very ripe slight botrytis slight earthy lovely intense nose; soft quite sweet very honeyed/grapey/Furmint ripe late hrvsty/grapey light stony/earthy fairly complex flavor; very long/lingering honeyed finish that mimics flavor; not a ot of otryts but a beautiful very honeyed dessert wine; should go out at least 10 yrs; very attractive price at $26.00/500 ml (KK)

1. I have had this wine in previous vintages and liked it a lot. It has always represented quite a good value in a dessert wine.

I've been fond both of their Tokaji (5 or 6 putts) and their dry furmint, ever since they first became available when the Iron Curtain fell. Haven't bought any lately, though.
