More vipasertz from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. This is, of course (being from Slovenia) made from the Malvasia d' Istria grape, rather than the much more commonplace Malvasia Bianco. Md'I is one of my favorite wines because it shows a certain degree of minerality you seldom find in Malvasia Bianco.
The Vipava Vlly is a beautiful growing area w/ lots of old-vine vnyds. Alas, it is an underperformer in the wines that come from there. Batic is one of the better producers in the Vlly.
