- 2019 Coudert Fleurie Clos de la Roilette - France, Burgundy, Beaujolais, Fleurie (9/16/2025)
After some disappointing experiences I finally got a bottle of this that was firing on all cylinders. It certainly showed a bigger frame, but that’s just the way things are these days. The Beaujolais of the early 2000s isn’t coming back any time soon it was still a bright and fresh expression of Gamay, just with more heft. Most importantly it kept drawing me back for more, which prior bottles of this same wine had not done. I don’t know what the issue was before (all from the same purchase), but this bottle was what I was hoping for when I bought the lot.
