2023 Maccerato Albariño Rías Baixas Val do Salnés
This is a terrific Albarino--an average priced ($17) wine with well above average body and balance. A QPR gem.

2021 Bodegas Muga Rioja Blanco Viura, Macabeo
My last bottle of this; went thru at least a case of it over the last few years and it's still as exuberant and detailed as ever. This was an even better bottle than one Bill S. opened a few weeks ago. What a bargain for the $17ish I paid for them.

2023 Château Mont-Redon Côtes du Rhône Blanc Réserve White Rhone Blend
Bright and exciting acidity, good complexity, feels like diamonds in my mouth. If I were looking to load up on a house white for under $20: this one.

2014 Bodegas Muga Rioja Reserva Tempranillo Blend, Tempranillo
Best red on the table. In a great place with silky fruit and harmonious secondary development.

2015 Domaine Serguier Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend
Thin and unexpectedly herbaceous for a CdP but it pleased those who wanted a lighter, more pinot-like texture. Was not decanted in advance, though I doubt that would have made a lot of difference.

2015 The Walls Vineyards Stanley Groovy Red Mountain Red Blend
Opened this due to the high percentage of Touriga Nacional. I don't remember it being as big as it shows now--dense, heavy, sweet, lacks the spice of the early years, obviously new world, no secondary development and for my palate not worth drinking until it gets some (if it can).

2004 Bodegas Roda Rioja Roda Reserva Tempranillo Blend
Tired now, and too much oak.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov

Sounds like a good night for Muga!
The Albarino sounds great, but doesn't seem to be available here,

Never had a Mont Redon CdR (red or white), but one of my favorite CdP producers.

That Albarino was the only one in this group brought by a guest. And even though I know that person to not spend a lot on wine, such was the quality of this one that I fully expected to find that he'd splurged in the $30+ range when I looked it up. But no, just $17.

Same re Mont Redon wines. I have some of the CdPs too, but this CdR is a bargain.
