Tried this new wine last night w/ my fresh tomato:
1. Heidi Schrock & Sohne Amphore Amore Weinland (13.5%; Pinot Grigio; 1 yr on skins in Amphora; http://www.heidischroeckundsoehne.com/de/; Skurnik Wines/NY/NY) Weingut Schrock/Rust/Weinland/Austria NV (2022): : Rose/light garnet/coppery color; bit dusty/earthy floral/cranberry/spicy/carnations rather attractive nose; fairly tart strong cranberry/spicy/floral bit rustic/raspy bit tannic earthy slight VM/phenolic flavor; long bit rustic/raspy/rough finish that tracks flavor; a pretty nice Ramato on the raspy/saline side but a bit pricey. $40.00 (SFW&S)

1. I'm a big fan of Heidi Schrock's wines. She makes a pretty lengthy tableau of different wines. Her Furmint is one of the best in Austria. She makes a wide list of excellent dessert wines.
We did a visit with Heidi about 2015 and she is an absolutely charming host.
