With roasted peanuts in the shell and marinated vegetables:

2023 DeLille Cellars Chaleur Estate Blanc Columbia Valley Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend
Year in year out (well, except for the hot, overripe '15), Delille's Chaleur Blanc is the best widely-available white wine in Washington. Taut but confident, the '23 has beautifully balanced stone fruit with lemon grass, hay and spice buoyed up by perfect acidity. A wine that invites contemplation. Currently $40 winery-direct, but $29 at Costco.

Standing in for the classic hot dog of baseball lore, roasted French garlic sausages over leek and chive mashed potatoes topped with a fresh 'sauce' of finely diced white onion marinated in mild wine vinegar with fresh tarragon (bangers and mash, French-ified):

2019 Woodward Canyon Estate Syrah, Mourvedre, Grenache Walla Walla Valley
Medium-bodied with dusty red fruit and velvet tannins, this bottle's having it's best life right now.

2010 Château de Beaucastel Côtes du Rhône Coudoulet de Beaucastel Red Rhone Blend
Glad I didn't take my own advice 2 1/2 yrs ago to 'drink up'. In retrospect, that was an uncharacteristically bland bottle. Last night's was perfection, especially after a 1-hr decant. Dark, purble-black with the usual herbs and spice along with a meaty note of baked ham.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
