Took this 2018 Rose Rock Zepherine Pinot Noir to Thanksgiving dinner yesterday. It was a splendid match for the turkey, beating out a too-young Ribera del Duoro I didn't catch the name of and a very good Washington syrah that, by comparison, didn't have enough fruit. Rose Rock is Drouhin's new other label with extensive vineyard holdings in the warmer Eola-Amity Hills neighborhood, and the Zepherine is their big gun bottling. Copying another review from CT: pure ruby color, obviously filtered, with aromas of flowers, red cherry & fig, orange peel, sandalwood, and five spice. Rich red fruit on the attack, along with clove & nutmeg spice, mushroom, anise, and hibiscus - very floral and savory spice with its depth. Refined and elegant density, deftly balanced, medium acidity and fine tannins. Very nice, a richer style given the vintage but light on its feet.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
