WTN: My Cousin Vinny

  • 2022 Vincent Pinot Noir Eola - Amity Hills - USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Eola - Amity Hills (11/28/2025)
Served with chicken enchiladas of all things, the bright fruit and fresh acidity held its own with the food. A glass after dinner was also enjoyable, as the overall balance of the wine is excellent, and escaping from the strongly flavored food allows more nuance to come through the aromatic and flavor spectrum. Ultimately this is a young and fruity Pinot that brings easy pleasure now, but has some depth for a few years of aging.

Once upon a time Bob and I did an experiment wherein we drank only pinot for an entire month and I changed nothing about the way I cook. My repertoire includes a lot of Mexican, or at least did back when I was feeding two, and my food is never wimpy. In short: pinot went with everything so I, for one, am not surprised by your finding.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
