2020 Domaine Michel Briday Bouzeron Cuvée Axelle - this wine is probably not going to be a household word to most - the AOC, Bouzeron, is seldom seen in stores - the Cote Chalonnaise is not a region common to most cellars, nor is the varietal, which is Aligoté, a cross between Pinot Noir and Gouais (a Gaulish grape varietal) that no longer exists today).

The wine showed a clear yellowy colour, and had a nose of citrus fruit combined with pear. Tasty wine with a long clean dry finish.

I looked for more of this in our market but the only wine of his still listed is a Rully white which would have to be rully good to justify the $52 price.

No love for Dureuil-Janthial? His Rully Meix Cadot is often $100+ in the US, and much more for the VV bottling. But fans still think it's great value for the quality!

Never had the pleasure of trying it - it isn't represented up here in the Great White.

I guess you folks have your segmented state stores. DJ is available in Ontario. And admittedly he may be at the top of the appellation, but has been pushing it for quite some time now.

We have the government run stores where it is easy to find wines they carry on line, and also private stores that aren't as easy to search on line to see if they bring in a given wine (they also generally charge more than the government stores for the same wines.

I owned that wine and posted on my several bottles. It's gone now but it was fantastic, especially for aligote. Btw, a quick survey of TN's here indicates that you had an '18 Rully at some point.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
