2012 Masi Campofiorin - this is a blend of varietals from Veneto - Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara grapes. The colour is a fairly deep red and the nose is a very nice melange of red fruit and spice. They ferment and then referment part of the wine with partially dried grapes (appassimento method) to add weight and concentration, but without the weight and alcohol of n Amarone. easonablypriced and an excellent wine with cheese. This one was marked as 13% alcohol, unlike Amarone that can have 15-16% or even a bit more. If you are looking for a nice cheese wine that is a bit out of the ordinary, this would work well.
