WTN: Blanc de Morgex Vallee d'Aoste '23....(short/boring)

Tried this wine last night w/ DinDin:
1. Blanc de Morgex et de la Salle Dd'OP: Vallee d'Aoste (12.00%; EB; Prie Blanc grape; Neal Rosenthal/NY) Pavese e Figli/Morgex 2023: Pale gold near colorless; very strong floral/edelweiss/alpine white flowers some mineral/metallic rather complex quite fragrant/lovely nose; very tart/tangy/bit metallic quite stony/mineral rather austere/saline some floral/alpine white flowers/edelweiss brisk/bracing complex flavor; very long/lingering saline/stony/mineral finish that tracks favor; a somewhat austere/mineral white w/ a riveting alpine character; quite a lovely/bracing white. $47.00 (AV)

More erglgitt from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. This is a wine produced from the Prie Blanc grape. It is thought to have originated on the valley below Mt.Blanc, although there is some thought it might have originated in the Valais of Switzerland. This wine comes from the highest vnyd in Europe atop Mt.Blanc. It's alpine origins are very distinct. Quite a riviting white.

Swiss/Ital wines from this region have been a recent revelation, and I don't recall seeing this producer in my searches for same. Sounds like something I'd love to try, I'll look for this.

Atop Mont Blanc? A 15,000+ feet?

Here’s some actual text from the Rosenthal site:

“At about 1,200 meters above sea level, these are some of the highest vineyards in Europe.”

So far below the top of Mont Blanc.
