1989 Vietti Barolo Brunate - I think that Vietti was playing with oaking a tad too heavily in this period (as were quite a few producers) so the aromas of that predominate. There were some interesting soy notes plus some faded floral scents, very smooth on palate with good length. At or perhaps a tad past peak but still pleasurable.
