WTN: Tommy can you hear me?

2023 Tommasi Turbiana Le Fornaci Lugana
Unlike any other Lugana I've ever had. Very pale color looks vapid but the wine is anything but. There's considerable body here behind the pear and white flower nose with seaspray salinity and underripe lime and pineapple on the palate--all of which I appreciate. Very cool-vintage presentation compared to the cherubic '24 Zenato I opened a few months ago.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov

Tommasi has quite a range from Amarone and Apassimento, trough this sort of rose. You should try the Arele - an appasimento but much lighter than the recioto Amarone range. The Poggio al Tufo is also excellent for the price.

Bill, I've had a number of good wines from this producer, which is why I pounced on this white when I saw it. We see disgustingly few interesting Italian whites in my neighborhood, so it's always a candidate for filling the corners of a mixed case ordered from elsewhere which is how I picked up this one.
