Massican Annia (11.8%; 42% RibollaGialla/35% TocaiFriuliano/17% Chard/6% PinotBlanc) Massican/Napa 2024: Light gold color w/ tiny bubbles that dissipate rapidly; quite minerally/stony/chalky some floral/carnations/gardenias bit RG/white pepper quite Friulian/aromatic nose; very tart/tangy lightly rich rather mineral/stony/chalky lightly floral/carnations bit RG/white pepper quite pleasant/zesty/savory flavor; very long savory/mineral finish that mocks flavor; a very Friuli-like white that is a good food wine; should improve some over the next few yrs. $36.00 (KK)
_______________
3. Angelo Negro Vino Rosso (12.5%; The Piedmont Guy/Shafer/MN; Brachetto; NF) Angelo Negro/Monteu Roero NV (L2/24TRI) : Fairly light color; very fragrant Brachetto/floral/strawberry bit Grenache-like bit dusty/OV quite aromatic very pretty Brachetto nose; soft bit off-dry very grapey/floral/strawberry/Brachetto bit earthy/dusty flavor w/ light grippy tannins; quite a nice expression of the Brachetto grape w/ lots of floral/strawberry character. $28.00 (SFW&S)
_______________
4. Bramito della Sala IGT: Chard/Umbria (12.5%; Vinattier/Napa) Marchesi Antinori/Firenze in Cortona 2023: Med.gold color; fairly fragrant Chard/melony/almondy slight grassy/herbal light pencilly/oak light stony/chalky varietally correct Chard nose; lightly tart fairly melony/almondy/Chard light pencilly/oak slight grassy/herbal/stony flavor; long Chard/almondy finish that tracks flavor; nothing profound but really quite pleasant but not particularly interesting. $24.00 (KK)

Tenuta Anfosso Dd'OC: Dolceaqua Rossese Superiore (13.5%; Kermit Lynch/Berkeley) 2017: Med.dark color; very fragrant/perfumed/floral/rose petal/grapey quite lovely/perfumed nose; fairly tart/brisk/bit lean very floral/Rossese/violets quite perfumed/aromatic/spicy flavor w/ light brisk tannins; very long bright/floralRossese rather cherry/floral finish that mimics flavor; a pretty classic example of Liguria Rossese; fairly drinkable but can use a few more yrs; reminds a lot of Brachetto but a bit more aromatic. $31.50 (KK)

6. Sheehan Fiona NM (17.5%; http://www.SheehanWinery.com; Vidal Blanc grape) Sheehan Wnry/Albuquerque/NM NV : Pale yellow near colorless color; some earthy/VB/grapey rather alcoholic/fumey Portish simple/grapey nose; quite sweet/Portish grapey/VB/bit herbal rather alcoholic pretty uninteresting flavor; med.short rather alcoholic/grapey/Portish simple finish; a singularly uninteresting grapey White Port; no telling how it will evolve w/ age but never be anything great I would expect . $22.00/hlf (KK)

More skizzleget from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. The Chevalier white is made from the rare Sauvignon Gris grape. A pink-skinned mutation of SauvBlanc. Grown in the mouth region of the Loire....in Muscadet country. It was a rather interesting wine w/ a bit of coarseness to it.
Rossese is one of my favorite grapes. There are a number of different Italian varieties that go under the name of Rossese. Mostly they come from Liquria.

That’s bottom feeding? Dan Petroski should be mortally offended.
