  • 2012 J & HA Strub Niersteiner Brückchen Riesling Kabinett - Germany, Rheinhessen (2/27/2026)
Almost 14 years old? Really? Seemed more like five, as the fruit was fresh and crisp, sweetness still prominent, and the finish closely focused. No real aged character evident under the screw cap, but a delicious bottle of wine nonetheless. I still have one left somewhere, and I am not worried about digging it up any time soon.

a screw cap Riesling and no reduction?

that sound terrific. Always liked the Strub wines, great values, just wish I'd seen them at retail more often. Is Skurnik even bringing them in now post-TT?

They were on the DI list this past year, but a very limited offering.

Thanks for notes.
I recall having almost exact same conversation with David a year or two ago (always liked Strub, always well priced, never see anymore)

Well I still have about 20 bottles of Strub left, so we can have this discussion again!
