- 2017 Goodfellow Family Cellars Pinot Noir Long Acre Whistling Ridge Vineyard - USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Ribbon Ridge (4/1/2026)
I last had this wine nearly five years ago, and while it was showing some promising development it was also still quite tannic. Last night it was friendlier and showed still more development, with earthy, woodsy (not woody!) tones and herbs alongside the dark red fruit. Likely plenty of runway left for this bottling, but it’s my last. I don’t regret opening it at all, but welcome any future opportunities to drink someone else’s!
