1996 Domaine Chopin Chambolle-Musigny - this wine still had fairly good colour and a decent red fruit nose but at that age it had begun to 'narrow down', losing some fruit and gaining (at least in perception if not pH) more acidity. Decent but would have been better around 5 years ago. Last bottle, so no problem, but I also have some older Burgs like Chopin's1995 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Murgers that I'll pop a cork on soon!

1996 has always been an acidic vintage, not surprising it shows even more with age.
I just finished some '96 Bouree Chambolles where same seemed to occur
I know Chauvenet-Chopin but Domaine Chopin is a new one to me.
