Grilled gochujaru chicken and king oyster mushrooms, baby bok choy, spicy udon.
2024 Kilburg Ohligsberg Riesling Spatlese
Exotic with ripe tropical fruit, soft, rich. B/B+

2024 Kilburg Goldtropfchen Riesling Spatlese
I think of Goldtropfchen as super exotic, but this was more linear and crisp. Pear, apple, and ginger, a little brighter. B+

Ramp and sausage risotto, spinach
1998 Fanti Brunello di Montalcino
Red fruits, resolved tannins, saddle leather. I like to start but with some air it develops some ashtray aromas. Drink up. B+ when decanted, C+ after an hour.

Crab cakes, cole slaw
2024 Zarate Albarino
Crisp, lemon and seashell, tiny hint of grass, bright and refreshing, good value. B+/B

Lamb and fennel stew from freezer
2015 Envinate Lousas “Parcela Seoane” (Ribeira Sacra)
Powerful, black raspberry and cassis, herby and long. A-/B+

2022 Anza Seleccion De Parcelas (Bierzo )
Young and firm, dark berries, spicy, mocha. Plenty of structure.

Grade disclaimer: I'm a very easy grader, basically A is an excellent wine, B a good wine, C drinkable. Anything below C means I wouldn't drink at a party where it was the only choice. Furthermore, I offer no promises of objectivity, accuracy, and certainly not of consistency.

Is Dentice still the one bringing in Kilburg or is that now Vom Boden?
