WTN: Goldkapsel…the wine with the Midas touch

No legitimate reason to open this now other than it’s completely delicious. Yes it’s probably decades from maturity, but the luscious fruit and subtle botrytis spice is a magical combination. It’s not at all heavy, and the acidity is well balanced to the ample sweetness. It’s just too much fun. I have one more, and it will take a Herculean effort to keep my hands off of it.

Sounds like as good of a reason as it gets! At this point, I don't think most of us need to count on how the wines will show 'decades' into the future...

Is there ever a better reason to open a bottle of wine? Thanks for sharing the tasting note. Alas, I don't have any of this wine, but I've thoroughly enjoyed some past vintages.

+1, Paul.
