Had this German wine last night w/ DinDin:
1. WhiteRabbit Riesling Landwein Rhein (8.5%; VeritableWines/Miami/FL) J.Baumer/Eltville am Rhein 2024: Med.light gold color w/ slight effervescence that dissipates rapidly; fairly attractive very floral/mango/ripe pineapple loads of ripe R fruit w/ little minerality or German character; some sweet (0.3%-0.5%) quite floral/R very mango/pineapple bit soft/underacid very quiet stony/mineral flavor; med.long very mango/R/pineapple finish that mocks flavor; a pleasant enough R w/ loads of mango/R fruit; rather on the simple/blah side & lacks minerality or German character; one (very small) step above Liebfraumilch. $16.00 (SFW&S)

More ribbetquack from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. I saw this on the shelf this weekend, a newcomer. "It's German....how bad can that be??". So bought a btl to try. It's the kind of R that gives German wines a bad reputation. Shows no German character to speak of.
