WTN: 2005 ESJ Bassetti Syrah

Decanted off a good amount of sediment and then the dark but elegant Bassetti syrah fruit is still very much present. In a nice place for drinking (for my palate), evolved and silky but still vibrant and not tertiary. There is still a bit of a hard cool edge to the fruit, but not sure where that is going?

Lots of memories and of course it's not being made any more. I have one bottle left but I fear it was from the batch that I bought well after release and hasn't shown as well recently. Alas...
