  • NV Bruno Paillard Champagne Brut Premiere Cuvée - France, Champagne (5/21/2026)
    From my late father’s cellar, this was a 2012 disgorgement that probably should have been opened at least five years ago. That said it was still quite drinkable, despite the gentle mousse and trace of oxidation as the bottle warmed up. When it was cooler there was a lovely toast character and some whispers of fruit. There are two more bottles of this same disgorgement in dad’s cellar, and I will get to them soon.

That's a producer I've loved a lot in the past; unfortunately don't own any now.
