  I am not generally a fan of Chenin Blanc. For some reason even the legendary bottles (e.g., old Huet) rarely resonate for me. So when I say that I enjoyed this wine that is high praise, and probably means Chenin fans would be more impressed. It certainly had some typical Chenin qualities, but what made it more interesting to me was how it channeled the Brosseau vineyard. I always find an “airy” quality to wines from Brosseau. It’s not that they are light bodied, but that they have an internal anti-gravity system that keeps them dancing above the palate. Some might say that’s weightless, but there’s so much depth that it feels more supernatural that that.

I think you've put a finger on Hardy's particular brand of magic. He's able to coax so much flavor out of the grapes while keeping them light enough on the palate to dance across your tongue. That '24 Chenin is a lovely wine.
