- 2023 Trimbach Riesling Hommage à Hubert Trimbach - France, Alsace (6/13/2026)
I rarely drink a Trimbach wine so close to release, but I did not know what to expect with this bottling, so opened one to check it out. It’s definitely Trimbach, but also modern, climate changed Alsace. There’s a bright streak running through the wine, but also more body, more richness than I have been accustomed to as a long time Trimbach fan. I suspect I will enjoy this even more once it’s had a little time to shed that baby fat. It’s not sweet, just a touch doughier on the palate than I prefer right now.
