Thursday we went to the Cookery in Dobbs Ferry for dinner. We shared octopus (tomato/pistachio salsa), kale salad (the “croutons” were panissa, and it had boquerones), pea/mint ravioli, veal cheek saltimbocca, and branzino. I just had a glass of the 2024 Gini Soave, citrus and unripe peach, mint, decent acids. B
Grade disclaimer: I'm a very easy grader, basically A is an excellent wine, B a good wine, C drinkable. Anything below C means I wouldn't drink at a party where it was the only choice. Furthermore, I offer no promises of objectivity, accuracy, and certainly not of consistency.
