2015 Domaine du Château de Meursault Volnay 1er Cru Clos des Chênes Pinot Noir
Served this last night with slow roasted steelhead trout under a fresh herb bernaise. Young but ready, a harmonious and aromatic showing of raspberries, mushrooms, oak and acidity. On the modern side, blind I might have guessed Oregon. Nontheless, quite good.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov

Big (and old) producer, but really the only Burg producer I can think of better known for their tours than their wines. Napa a Beaune.Wines used to be adequate at best.
But in last decade or I think under new ownership, doing organic farming and aiming towards wines that would compete in marketplace, not just to tour groups. Sounds like Jenise got one of the ones under new direction.

I went on that tour, Dale, and wasn't impressed with them. But these I got on distributor close-out locally for $35/bottle about three years ago. The wines I remember tasting were definitely worth that. I got whites too. Which I didn't like (flabby) but some critic gave the white like 96 pts so I bought them all, kept the reds and shipped the whites off to Winebid where they sold for about $100 ea. :)
