- 2022 Extradimensional Wine Co. Yeah! Marvelous Mourvedre - USA, California, San Francisco Bay, Contra Costa County (6/27/2026)
Three years on from my last bottle and the wine is still just a pup. It still jumps up and wants to snuggle, but it’s still light enough you can pick it up. Barely darker than a robust Rosé, that belies the depth of the aromatics and flavors. It has those dark fruit and tack shop adjacent notes, but they are scrawled in watercolor rather than with a sharpie. This is the sort of red wine I crave in the summer. It manages to have the depth of the wintertime classics, but dance across the palate without weighing anything down.
