  • 1995 Beringer Vineyards Merlot Bancroft Ranch - USA, California, Napa Valley, Howell Mountain (7/5/2026)
I continue to be amazed at the quality and longevity of these Beringer PR Merlot bottling. The fruit is still hanging in there, and there’s a warm, comforting earthiness that provides a foundation. Not much tannic structure left, but that just makes it even easier to drink. Delicious now, but certainly not getting any better. Drink ‘em if you got ‘em.

Sounds good. I still have a bunch of Beringer cabs from the 1990s - you inspire me to try them soon!

I have been dipping into my 1990s Beringer PR Cabs, and they have been routinely excellent, especially the ‘91 and the ‘96.
