Monday was rainy and blessedly cool, we had roast chicken, pasta, mesclun salad
2013 Seguin Lavaux St. Jacques Gevrey-Chambertin 1er
A touch shrill, red and black cherries, some Gevrey earth but maybe lacking a bit of concentration and length. B-

Tuesday no wine with dandelion/tofu saag , rice

Wednesday the first park concert of the season, lovely evening with a nice sunset over the Palisades
Caprese, pork larb, melon, slaw

NV Gosset Grande Rose Champagne
Strawberries and sweet apple, a hitn of rye bread, good persistence, elegant/delicate mousse. B+

2022 Gadais Peninsula Muscadet
Seashells and seabreeze, saline, long, superb value, B++

2024 Gaspard Sauvignon Blanc (Loire)
Lemon and grass, thin and short. But I guess drinkable. C+

Grade disclaimer: I'm a very easy grader, basically A is an excellent wine, B a good wine, C drinkable. Anything below C means I wouldn't drink at a party where it was the only choice. Furthermore, I offer no promises of objectivity, accuracy, and certainly not of consistency.

So you used dandelion greens in place of spinach for the saag?

Just bought a few bottles of the 23 Gadais Peninsula based on your note and John Gilman’s 95 points (!), and I just reloaded on some Gosset Grand Rose NV too after enjoying a bottle this weekend.
