WTN: Terra-forming

• 1998 Parker Coonawarra Estate Terra Rossa First Growth - Australia, South Australia, Limestone Coast, Coonawarra (8/13/2026)
  From my late father’s cellar, this was a secondary market purchase but thankfully in excellent condition. Still showing plummy fruit, alongside meaty, leathery, and a little bit of barrel spice. Not much in the way of tannin left, so drinking now is wise, and also fun. It’s a good drop!

Nice! In 2005 Betsy was playing in Japan and I joined for the week in Tokyo. An internet wine friend organized an offline. Several of the people of the people at offline were Australian, as were several of the wines. The 1999 Parker Estate 1st was my second fave of the night (after a 93 Lafarge Chenes). I ended up buying the 2000 when I got back, enjoyed, but seldom see them.
