The historic Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite Valley has been running for many years a "Vintners' Holidays" series of two-day events involving seminars, tastings and a gala dinner. I was alerted to this fact by an email from Hardy Wallace of EWCY! that he will be participating in one of these events over the Thanksgiving holiday this year. Looking at
the website, they are in Session 4, along with Shauna Rosenblum of Ridge, Zak Miller of Domaine Carneros and Susie Selby of her eponymous winery. The other 3 sessions vary from ho-hum to interesting, at least for my tastes (though Jason Haas with Tablas Creek, and Peay Vineyards are in Session 3) but Jean and I decided to splurge on Session 4. They are offering special packages, which is good since rooms at the Ahwahnee ain't cheap.
