If money were no object, I could spend vast amounts of it and time finding out which wines I prefer. Why are the Grand Crus of Bordeaux so expensive? Why the Grand Premier Crus of Burgundy? Even if they are worth it to some people, would they suit my developing taste? At this point, I cannot know.

So I'd probably just buy a bottle of Screaming Eagle.

Yes, yes, yes, James! I totally agree with you. It would be all about the people with whom I'd drink, not about the wine we would consume. I'm not sure the exact vintage but some really old and really hightly regarded Yquem.

Being practical and wanting to make sure it was really good I would want the '82 and '83 Margaux beside each other and finish with '71 Yquem

I've been a bit out of the loop the last 4-5 years serving as President of a local youth sports organization. I'll try to do better next time.

I love '67 and '75 Yquem but I was thinking about something more outrageous.
