WTN: 2004 Domaine de la Mordorée Côtes du Rhône La Dame Rous

This one showed up in my "drink up" report so I didn't have high hopes - but was pleasantly surprised.
On the nose was a certain roasted character - like grilled meat as a background, along with a kind of herbal note, maybe marjoram, or thyme, the way it smells on a grill.
The wine had good color still - on the palate the fruit was somewhat plummy and one dimensional, but the nose picked up what the palate lacked. On its own it seemed as though the wine was drying out a bit, but paired with a roasted chicken, that quality vanished and the wine was very pleasant to drink. (85 pts.)

I used to love Mordoree, but haven't had it in a few years (I've not been drinking many Rhones). How has the Tavel been?
