After trying both the Pinot Gris and Riesling of this wine, I was looking forward to trying this wine.

Deep gold, like aged Sauternes. The nose doesn't give up much at first but it does offer some overripe fruit, subdued lychee and rubber. After being open for an hour or so the wine begins to smell like a young Sauternes. The wine is spicy with a hit of sweetness as it enters the mouth; quickly turning dry. Powerful (14% alcohol), spicy wine with flavors of dried fruit. Went very well with Filipino rice noodles which brought out more sweetness in the wine. The finish is extraordinarily long and complex showing candy, apple and lychee.

While not a particularly interesting wine to drink by itself, it seems built to be drunk with food which it needs to tame its power. By itself, merely good. With food, excellent.
